What you will build

A large Next.js portal with a real domain model and backend surface area:

• Build and iterate on modern web apps using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Multi-tenant enterprise portal with complex permissions, auditability, and data workflows
• Own features end to end: UI, API design, data modeling, and production rollout.
• Ship fast without breaking things: strong CI discipline, automated checks, and visual regression testing.
• Work AI-native: use agentic coding workflows for speed, then enforce correctness through types, tests, and review standards.
• Orchestration for long running processes (pipelines, retries, backfills, idempotency, state)
• Caching and performance strategies for data-heavy screens and high-cardinality filtering
• Reliability features: observability, safe deploys, rollbacks, incident hygiene

Must have

• 5+ years shipping production software in teams (we will deep dive into what you built, decisions, and impact).
• Strong Next.js + React + TypeScript, including performance and maintainability in large codebases.
• Strong backend fluency (TypeScript and Node.js, or Python): API design, data modeling, auth, and integrations.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems basics: retries, timeouts, idempotency, queues, and eventual consistency.
• High engineering hygiene: pragmatic testing, code reviews, clean boundaries, and production ownership.

Quality and tooling expectations

• Automated testing mindset: unit and integration by default, E2E where it pays off.
